The making of ReGame 64

How is realized a book like ReGame 64? Well, lets follow the making process.

First Vice X64 emualator is used for testing the games and take PNG screenshot.

Then with GIMP the captured images are scaled up in DPI resolution and convert into CMYK color mode, a process that is essential for the typographic printing of the book.

Some images are created using Inkscape vectorial program, for being able to be exported at very high resolution.

With Scribus, texts and images are then positionated into the book layout and a high resolution PDF is generated for sending to the printing farm

The book is printed following those specification:

• Internal page with 100 g/m^2 Classic Demimatt (matt coated)
• External page with 300 g/m^2 Matt plastic coating. I choose this instead of glossy plastic coating or Soft Touch lamination to be like the internal pages

For sending the book I choose to

• For 1 book, I use a normal C5 letter and a special 3D printed support that is for not allow post-office man to bend the letter!
• For 2 books, I use a C5 letter with a cardboard support
• For 3 books, I use a C5 large letter with the 3 books in.
